MAAC Has 3 Candidats for Senior CLASS Award

One of the most prestigious awards college players can win is the Senior CLASS Award, which not only recognizes an athlete for on-court ability, but also community involvement, academic success and general character.

The national award for Division I athletes initially nominates 30 male and 30 female players as candidates.

The MAAC has three candidates, two male players and one female.

Siena College's O.D. Anosike and Lily Grenci and Loyola's Robert Olson are the candidates from the conference.

The candidates will be narrowed to 10 men's and 10 women's finalists midway through the regular season and, then, those names will be placed on an official ballot. Ballots will then be distribuyted through a nationwide voting system to media, coaches and fans with that voting to select one men's and one women's choice for best exemplifying excellent in the "Four C's" of community, classroom, character and competition.

The men's Senior CLASS Award winner will be announced during the 2013 NCAA Final Four in Atlanta, while the women's winner will be announced during the women's NCAA Final Four.
